The Challenge
Building on a rural property meant navigating several layers of logistics: septic design, well installation, and driveway engineering — all while ensuring the home achieved high energy efficiency and met the family’s expectations for modern comfort.
The homeowners wanted a build partner they could trust — one who would bring structure, organization, and a proven process to a complex project. Our team stepped in to handle permitting, site development, and construction with precision, while maintaining consistent communication every step of the way.

Exterior Design
The home’s exterior design delivers both curb appeal and performance. Featuring Georgia Pacific Compass double-4 siding, board and batten accents, and tapered craftsman columns, the look is both classic and contemporary.
An Owens Corning Duration shingle roof provides lifetime protection, and white Harvey vinyl windows with prairie-style grills add charm, symmetry, and energy efficiency throughout.
Outdoor living is expanded by a 315 sq. ft. Trex deck and porch— the perfect place for morning coffee or family barbecues, overlooking the scenic property.

Cabinetry & Surfaces
The kitchen features Schrock Ingalis Shaker-style painted cabinetry, built with plywood construction, soft-close doors and drawers, and dovetail joinery— details that reflect timeless quality. The cabinetry complements solid surface countertops and a classic white subway tile backsplash, creating a clean, modern look.
Bathrooms include custom tile showers with Wedi waterproof systems, glass enclosures, and elegant finishes — designed for daily luxury and long-term durability.
Flooring & Finishes
The main level is finished with luxury vinyl plank flooring, while the bedrooms offer plush carpeting for added comfort. Walls and ceilings were finished to a Level 4 drywall standard, then painted in warm, neutral tones to highlight the natural light from the prairie-grilled windows.
Fireplace
An LP fireplace unit, complete with a cultured stone surround and custom mantel, creates a cozy gathering area on the main level — adding warmth and ambiance throughout the home.
Comfort & Efficiency
This project was designed with energy performance in mind. The home is equipped with a
Carrier high-efficiency furnace and A/C system, controlled by a Honeywell Wi-Fi programmable thermostat and separated into two zones for maximum comfort.
Energy Efficient Insulation— including R-49 blown-in fiberglass in the attic and R-21 wall insulation— provides long-term efficiency, while Harvey windows and air-sealed detailing ensure year-round performance.
Plumbing fixtures were selected through RJ Walker’s showroom, and all electrical fixtures were installed with precision, including prewired smart-home and entertainment options.
